I settled this and it keeps getting reported I paid via the automatic hotline and was never given receipt of payment

Its been months now and you keep reporting this on my credit. The vehicle I purchased was a lemon and despite that I repaired it and paid it the entire time. It spent 1.5 of the 3 years I paid it broken down. The dealership offered no help or relief even though it was warranties through the expensive *** aftermarket terrible warranty that basically exists to scam people with lower credit. I had it a month and it broke down, I took it in stride, paid 400 to fix it. Great itll run perfect now right? No, 2 months later same exact issue. $400 later and 2 more months of running it then blows a head gasket. Keep in mind Im changing the oil every 3-4k miles. The vehicle still managed to blow up, and my mechanic said this is a extremely common issue with these. Im surprised the dealership sold you this as it looked like it was bound to happen. Vehicles out of commission for half a year, again no help, I take it in stride. It happens right? After replacing the head gasket and $3500 later I have a running vehicle again, keep in mind Im making payments this entire time for a vehicle I cant even use. Tried to trade it for another vehicle and basically was told no good luck with the remaining payments on your vehicle. Fantastic customer service if you reside in *** Fast forward to the repossession, yes its a miracle it ran that long after, it then breaks down again. Oh boy, wonderful I know. Well this time Im less than 5 minutes from Frank Myers. Theyll tow it quickly surely. I call them and my father in law picks me up. I call the next day, they have the vehicle but bad news(did they ever have good news?) the vehicle was broken into, vandalized, and the catalytic converter stolen. Thats right less than 5 minutes away, it was vandalized and destroyed. Upon looking up the cost of a catalytic converter I then slowly regathered myself, called Frank Myers, yeah we can fix it, but youre better off somewhere else, we have one tech and hes weeks behind. No problem Im used to paying for this vehicle without actually using it. Thank God I own others. I call a month later to ask if they could help me out with the payments as it was a struggle paying a vehicle I cant even use. They say sure we can help out we will reach out to you. No body calls, no body contacts via email. I wait another month call again. Oh your vehicles up for repossession if you dont pay by so and so date. Oh great. On top of a massive repair bill, forgot to mention they havent even looked at it for repair at this point. Two whole months later no repair and now Im behind 90 days and they want it all at once or its repossessed. So I, realize this worthless out of money has become the cost of a brand new truck over time, sad heartedly decide to let it go. I was wronged by your company and by Frank Myers. I pay my bills, and I take care of everything else. This unique situation in which I wholeheartedly gave my best effort for ended in misery for my credit and my relation with car dealerships. The entire situation has been mishandled and I for one fill to be the victim of fraud, as selling a lemon, and offering no mercy in payments and selling a warranty for a year that basically covers oil changes or something I really dont know. Id like this to be forgiven. I called and paid the settlement. I took care of my end; and yet your massive predatory corporation continues to gouge my credit claiming I owe a repossession fee for a vehicle that remained at the dealership the entire time. I paid this *** vehicle for 3 years. Managed to make some on time payments, the lord knows my family struggled the entire tim due to this, but yet I persevered only to be *** on again. Sacrificed my mental health and well being, and my relationship with my wife was dwindling. I had to give up, as if I didnt I probably wouldnt have my family and happiness. So with that car went my problems. Please make an honest effort to remove this from my credit as Ive suffered enough. Have a heart.

Repossession

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
My name is Jessica Dorgan. I am writing regarding account: 10287**** I am advising you that I am divorced from Michael Dorgan effective 8/18/2023. In our divorce decree Mr. Dorgan became solely financially responsible for the vehicle associated with this loan. As you are aware, the vehicle was repossessed on 08/09/2023. I was informed by your company that no partial payment would be accepted, the balance of the loan was due or, the vehicle would be sold at auction, potentially creating a deficiency balance. As such, I canceled the registration and insurance on the vehicle as it was in my name exclusively. Today, I was informed that Mr. Dorgan has entered into some sort of partial payment arrangement and provided a promissory note for a future payment to cure the past due amount. I am hereby advising you that I do not want the vehicle given back to Mr. Dorgan. He is not financially responsible, does not pay his bills, engages in criminal activity to include driving while intoxicated and using and possessing illegal drugs. I can not, and will not continue to expose myself personally and financially to any damage or failure to pay by Mr. Dorgan regarding said vehicle. I have accepted that I may be liable for a deficiency balance if the car is sold for less than what is due on the loan and I understand I am responsible for that as a co-borrower. However, we are now divorced, the car has been repossessed and if you choose to allow Mr. Dorgan to redeem the vehicle, you need to negotiate new financing terms that absolve me from any future liability. I am not lawfully responsible for any default occurring from this point forward pursuant to our divorce decree. Please confirm in writing that you have received this letter and acknowledge that you will release me from the loan and the balance due as of today. Should you have any questions, feel free to contact me. It is important to note that there is no lawful or current registration or insurance on the vehicle and any claim or representation by Mr Dorgan that there is would be false. Sincerely, Jessica Dorgan

You better make sure his new promissory note is in his name only. In fact, from my own experience you need to sign something to get your name off the loan.

Your divorce decree just stipulated property division/financial responsibility.

It did not automatically change the terms on the car loan. As such, the car probably is still in your name also and now without insurance/registration.

Fraudulently sold a car

i have been trying to contact someone for 2 years about my car that i have not paid on because this car was sold fraudulently. We have the proof and it's in the description of the car they gave to us stating that this car was a clean & clear title and it turned out to be a salvage title. I demand this account be removed from my report and paid in full or we can just do the arbitration like the contract states. This has been affecting my score from being able to buy a house because i was fraudulently sold a car with every bit of knowledge that this was a clean and clear title

Yes .I want to know why I bought a car for 4500 dollars to be financed through credit acceptance and I put 1000 $ down on the car . Why does it say the car loans for 11,000$ I didn't even get to see the contract for 15 days . I had been asking the dealership where the papers were for this car so I could sign them and go get the plates for the car .and had many run arounds. Finally he sends me a copy of it and it's e signed .I don't know what's going on at that dealer ship but something isn't right with this .I'm going to Chanel 3 on My side . To get to the bottom of how I'm sold a car priced at 4500 and I understand there's interest .but how's it .I owe 21,000 dollars .I don't get it .Mt credit was good . What is going on with the dealership and your company .someone is ripping me off and I would like this to be resolved with on 30 days receipt of this letter or further action will be taken under federal law.

What's going on is you're stupid and have bad credit. Anything credit-related deals with "acceptance" in the title is going to be a high-interest affair.

You were probably desperate, ran down to the only place that would deal with you, bought an A to B car that will probably break down in a few weeks. You signed (how else would they let you drive off) for a loan that at the end of the terms will cost you $11K for a car that probably won't last more than a couple of years.

I don't know what 3 on your side is but I'm guessing once they read what you signed, all they can do is tell the other suckers out there to not do what you did. You're toast and on the hook for a beater that probably wasn't worth $4500.00

I absolutely regret doing business with this company. It's a money scam and I should have known when we were trying to pay for the car in cash and asked questions they kept trying to go around. I have purchased and paid for four cars and have never regretted a decision in my life.

Financially destroying my life from 11 years ago that wasn’t my purchase!!

They are thieves and liars with the law on their side. I haven't heard one good thing about this company. What I have heard is how much they financially destroy peoples lives. They expect us to honor the contract but they are the first to break contract with their broke down lemons. Shame on you. If you would actually help people and not maliciously destroy them for the dollar.
