Verified Reviewer | Spring Hill, FloridaPoor customer service & bad loan terms
Little did I know I was signing into terms, that were not accurately provided to me and had additional hidden fees. Fast forward a few months I had 2 unfortunate back to back situations that caused me to be late on my payments.
As a responsible consumer I reached out to notify them of my situation to see if there was any assistance they could provide. Initially I asked if the payment could be moved to the back of the loan because typically thats what auto loans usually do. I was advised the company doesnt do that and all they could do is break the payments up. I spoke several times to someone, who then assured me my account was in good standing, but then I just received a letter stating if Im ever late again they will repossess the car without notice.
I dont know what type of practice that is but this has been one of the worst financial decisions Ive made, I truly regret it. I hope others have better experiences though.

My name is Jessica Dorgan. I am writing regarding account: 10287****
I am advising you that I am divorced from Michael Dorgan effective 8/18/2023.
In our divorce decree Mr. Dorgan became solely financially responsible for the vehicle associated with this loan. As you are aware, the vehicle was repossessed on 08/09/2023. I was informed by your company that no partial payment would be accepted, the balance of the loan was due or, the vehicle would be sold at auction, potentially creating a deficiency balance.
As such, I canceled the registration and insurance on the vehicle as it was in my name exclusively. Today, I was informed that Mr. Dorgan has entered into some sort of partial payment arrangement and provided a promissory note for a future payment to cure the past due amount. I am hereby advising you that I do not want the vehicle given back to Mr.
Dorgan. He is not financially responsible, does not pay his bills, engages in criminal activity to include driving while intoxicated and using and possessing illegal drugs. I can not, and will not continue to expose myself personally and financially to any damage or failure to pay by Mr. Dorgan regarding said vehicle.
I have accepted that I may be liable for a deficiency balance if the car is sold for less than what is due on the loan and I understand I am responsible for that as a co-borrower. However, we are now divorced, the car has been repossessed and if you choose to allow Mr.
Dorgan to redeem the vehicle, you need to negotiate new financing terms that absolve me from any future liability. I am not lawfully responsible for any default occurring from this point forward pursuant to our divorce decree.
Please confirm in writing that you have received this letter and acknowledge that you will release me from the loan and the balance due as of today.
Should you have any questions, feel free to contact me.
It is important to note that there is no lawful or current registration or insurance on the vehicle and any claim or representation by Mr Dorgan that there is would be false.
Sincerely,
Jessica Dorgan

What exactly do you think a co-signer is? YOU guaranteed the loan and so did the other person.
They aren't going to remove you. On the other hand, if that other person fails to make payments, YOU can repo the car!
